In a remote village in the north, young Yuri (Helena Zengel) is taught not to go out after dark and to be afraid of the forest inhabitants who live in seclusion, the Ochi. When a baby Ochi is abandoned by her pack, the two form an unusual friendship and she embarks on a daring journey to bring him home.
